Abstract. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional and defiant disorder, and conduct dissocial disorder in ICD-11, their diagnostic requirements, and the differences with ICD-10, are presented. A special emphasis is placed on the complex approach in their assessment with recognition of neurodevelopmental, family, and social factors for their reliable discrimination from other non illness deviant behaviours. While the aim of compelling acquaintance with these problematic diagnostic categories in the new classification is mainly didactic, clinical descriptions are accompanied by comment about the consequences of their practical application with discussion on a possible stigmatization in the direction of either extreme medicalization, or denial of overt pathology.
Key words: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional and defiant disorder, conduct dissocial disorder, ICD-11
