Abstract. The diagnostic requirements in the grouping of personality disorders in ICD-11, the six domains of dysfunctional personality traits, the differences with ICD-10, as well as the rationale for the changes, are presented. While the aim of compelling acquaintance in detail with this major grouping in the new classification is mainly didactic, clinical descriptions are accompanied by comment and hypotheses about possible consequences of the new diagnostic requirements for clinical practice.
