RATING SCALE FOR SOCIAL DYSFUNCTIONS IN HOSPITALIZED PSYCHIATRIC PATIENT

Abstract. Programs for psychiatric inpatients’ treatment and cares suggest an ongoing assessment of symptom’s dynamics and disease manifestations, as part of the monitoring of behavior deviations and social dysfunctions of patients. At the State Psychiatric Hospital – Radnevo a scale for social dysfunctions in hospitalized patients is applied consisting of 32 items in 4 subscales (impaired care, idiosyncratic behavior, asocial behavior, treatment non-compliance). All scale items are operationally defined. The scale is very suitable for ongoing assessment of patients’ behavior by qualified nurses. The reliability of the scale is very good.
